From Today’s “Word For Today”
I didn’t intend making a post today, but I’ve just done reading today’s “Word For Today“ which summed up for me many of the manipulation issues I’ve been banging on about of late.
In truth, I haven’t really said what I’ve wanted to say on this subject (only in private and to God anyway) but one of my most respected teachers of all time, Creflo Dollar, fully exposed just what I’ve wanted to say about the subject of maniuplation in a recent interview and during one of his messages. He said…
“manipulation has it’s roots in witchcraft.”
1 Samuel 15:23 says that “For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.”
What is this saying? It’s saying that when we reject the Will of God, or more forcefully, we rebel against His Will, we are rejecting His Word on the grounds that we know best! This is the very reason I reassure people that no one except me can stop the Will of God for my life… and then comes the warning… “and I feel sorry for those who do try because they are rebelling against God, not me.”
This might sound a little arrogant to some, but let me make this clear, “maniuplated people do not know who they are in Christ!” And they’re certainly not hearing from the Holy Spirit!
I know who I am in Christ and therefore I refuse to be manipulated! Man was created to have dominion over the earth, not over another man and my take on this is, “if you want something to control go buy a dog!“
But let’s not get off the subject here – see why I need to start podcasting? I wanna preach!
I want you to go and read “Word For Today” in it’s entirety – it will take you about 2 minutes. But this is the part that summed it all up for me…
What is success, as God counts success? It’s when others hear you, but follow Jesus.
My reaction to this was simply ”wow!” What more can I say except to ask, who or what are you a steward of today?
